Basil Yousif
Yousif is currently practising in Syria as a Middle East Legal Consultant. He obtained the Lic. en droit from Damascus University in 1963, and joined the Syrian Bar Association in 1964, and the Iraqi Bar Association in 1982, and practised for many years in the field of commercial and company laws.
Yousif was a University lecturer and the head of the department of legal studies Baghdad Hikmet Institute and the chief editor of the Institute's legal journal.
He is the author of a number of books and articles on international law, international relations, human rights, as well as legal aspects of doing business with Iraq, internet laws and technology. He speaks and writes Arabic, French and English.
